What AfterhoursGP is NOT

We ARE an After Hours GP service – We are NOT an A&E (Accident & Emergency) or A&M (Accident & Medical) service.

Emergency Cases - Call 111:

•Chest pain
•Difficulty breathing
•Severe allergic reaction
•Stroke
•Loss of consciousness

Also Emergency - Call 111:

•Severe pain
•Fractures (broken bones)
•Burns or open wounds
•Significant bleeding

Services We Do NOT Provide

Medical Exams We Cannot Perform:

•Insurance or Employer Medicals
•Driver License Medical Exams

Prescribing Policy:

We have a policy of NOT prescribing narcotics.

Intimate Examinations:

Please do NOT book an appointment if you need:

• Breast exam
• Vaginal examination
• Rectal (anus) exam
• Genital exam

These intimate exams are best done by your own GP. We do not have a chaperone available to assist in these intimate exams.

What We DO Provide:

Professional after-hours GP care for minor illnesses, prescriptions (non-narcotics), medical certificates, minor cuts and scrapes, skin conditions, and mental health support. We advise your regular GP of our findings and treatment.

I understand AfterhoursGP is an After Hours GP service (NOT A&E or A&M), NOT for emergencies, and does not provide insurance/employer medicals, driver license exams, narcotics prescriptions, or intimate examinations. For emergencies, I will call 111.
